ODDZAR

Oddzar (DCide)

3.0 EYES

I get a pack of CDs and press releases about every month. This month, I across a band that, when I saw the name, thought was a joke but turned out to be a lot more. Newcomers Oddzar, all in their early twenties, really shocked me. Mixing an eclectic range of heavy rock with more melodic sounds, this band gives listeners a taste of Tool, but with a catchier composure. Another surprising fact about these guys: they haven’t been together that long. Most bands that actually have a good sound have taken at least two or three years to develop. Oddzar completely contradicts that by being together only a little more than a year and being signed to DCide, a label famous for such bands as Nothingface and Trust Company.
